I got a custom magnaflow exhuast and i love the way it sounds..!

 

With all the catback clips Ive heard so far , Im definately not shelling out $500 plus for a kit at the moment . They are all just too loud or have a bad tone period . Ive decided to just try some different mufflers and do my own 2.5 mandrel exhaust from the factory resonator back . Then if a kit does come out that appeals to me , I wont have to much invested and in the meantime will still probably get 85% of the gain with my ghetto fab work as a cat back on the market .

Tried so far - Edelbrock SDT chambered muffler - it was new , they said quiet , so I tried . Idle sounds good , nice and deep ...not loud at all . Light throttle , it actually sounds pretty good . 1/2 throttle to WOT ... . This thing is LOUD at wot .

Next up is a Borla TurboXL 2.5 in/out . This was at the recommendation of a Borla rep after talking in lenght . Guess well see how it goes , for the $180 bux I spent for the muffler , I hope he was right . I should have the muffler on within a week or so . If it sounds decent I will post some vid clips .

Cobalt_Supercharged - I emailed Milltek about doing an exhaust for us about a month ago since the Astra is on the same chassis as us , and got no response at all . The only cars they do in the USA right now is VW and Audi .

 

Damn Europeans! LOL That's too bad.
