Nope. I'm using the stock belt. If you go below 3 inch however, I'd suggest buying a belt tensioner so that the belt doesn't slip.

Im pretty sure you dont need one but you will if you go any smaller. Smaller belt would be the cheaper and more effective way to go.

Yeah but the only smaller belt on the market as of now is from GM and I highly doubt that you could buy just a belt from them. They also sell idler pulleys as well for like $30 that will take the extra belt slack away as well.

Yeah but idler pulleys you might have to grind. Some I know you have to. Also they look like they are a bitch to install...

I am running a 2.8 with no slippage...knock on wood. If I drop to a 2.6 I am going with a bigger tensioner. OR maybe the smaller GM belt......

I don't think you will be able to buy the GM belt alone just so you know....unless you have connections.

They have to eventually offer a replacement belt or else someone else will make one. For now I am going to try a larger tensioner.

I heard Intense was making a shorter belt for us. I also heard Intense was making a lot of stuff as well for our cars.

However I haven't seen any of them yet.

I bought the 2.8 and 3 inch non slip dub system from South Florida Pulley Headquarters. They have some good service over there. Recieved my pulley really quick and were a big help. They made sure I was going to have some kind of tuning with my car when I bought the 2.8.

As for Acosta, I will drive by there today. I'm pretty sure they didn't close. Who knows.
