Alright mates, I've heard nothing but bad comments on this thing, and I wanted your thoughts on it if you have either the stock accessory, or an after mod.

 

Bad comments in what way? Fit? Quality? Looks?

I like the look of the factory spoiler and the only negative I would give is the view through the rear-view mirror took awhile to get used to. It is pretty hard to see. I am just more careful backing up, and when driving use my side mirrors more than I used to in other cars.

 

I think my wing looks great, every sport compact enthusiast buddy I have thinks it looks great, my only problem is that I may as well not even have a rear view mirror.

 

I think it looks great, except for the "I wanna race" message it apparently sends to everyone. And it sits in the rearview at exactly where the IL state police follow you distance-wise.

 

I wouldn't change mine either! I like it... I acutally like the visibility better with the SS/SC spoiler than the LT spoiler, at least I can see right above my trunk!

I like my SC wing because its JUST at the right height to block those super bright Navigator and X3/X5 HIDs that would just beam straight into the mirror if the wing wasn't there!

 

Mine went away because of the visual issues.

 

Thats why they make the flip down mirrors for the night time.. dee de dee
The wing is gay. it makes your car look like a riced out juvenile toy, instead of the hardcore sportscar that it longs to be..

 

hardcore sportscar...ummm, naw, the spoiler fits the attitude of the car just fine.

 

I get nothing but compliments on my spoiler. It all boils down to what you want on your car though.

 

i guess you dont like evo/sti spoilers either? i mean obviously we're not talking about functionality but looks. those spoilers go as high as the hood of the car. if you look at our spoilers, they are actually pretty small, especially compared to 'ricer' wings

 

can you spot the more 'professional' good looking one?

Some reviewers say that it is too damn big, you can't see out of the rear-view mirror, and "it only appeals to adolescents with something to prove."


But I will check it out and I might put it on.

hahaa well like most here, I like my wing!! Theres only one ive seen thats nicer, and its that 3 piece they sell at RK, or its an RK wing or something! Now that is nicer, but thats it!! Like the big ASS wing!! Just when i close the trunk and it starts dancing around, but i learnt to not slam the trunk and its fine!! U just got to respect it alittle!! Love the wing and screw the critics. they dont like the SS/SC anywyas cuz its bowtie and not rice!! I understand some dont like it, so get the SS/NA wing, its offered now!!

 

Love the Green civic... love the white body kit!!

 

I LOVE my low profile spoiler, wouldn't care much for the SS/SC one. But it does great in blocking headlights, especially when your lowered, and tinted. ITS GREAT

 

I ditched the gay ricer wing and had the trunk filled in and repainted. I hated the wing with a passion since the day I bought the car, and even begged to dealership to swap trunks. GM would have been much better off putting a lip spoiler on the car similar to the one I had on my 02 Z24. That's my opinion though.

 

Or mirrors that dim when light is shined on them, like the one that came on my STI

 

Just tint the windows..

 

The mirror in my 05 SS is auto dimming . I think GM stopped putting that in the Cobalts , I havent seen the auto dimming mirrors in the newer models .

My wing is long gone , to each their own ....I hated it with a passion . I went spoilerless for awhile , now I have the low mount Ls spoiler and like that much better .
