Finally got my ss
too bad money clips dont fit in there, in my buddys hyundai elantra on the passenger side he has this little hanger that comes out i always ask him what is it for. Says it holds up to 8 pounds i finally told him its a purse holder!!!!!
Nice upgrade. Sounds like what I did, but I got $7K for my G5 with 33,000 miles on it
Then again, I paid a lot more for my SS as well, but the 0% financing for 60 months made it a little easier to take in.
Leave the mods alone for right now. Invest in some payments on the car. I personally set a years worth of money aside for insurance and payments on the car so I know that's taken care of. I'd upgraded the headlights, paint the dash (if you don't want to leave that stock) etc. After modding my car and looking back on how much I spent, I could have had another years worth of payments completed. :P Either way, the car looks nice. Break the car in before you start all the mods. Learn how to drive before you start adding power. To me - aftermarket just leads to more problems. Enjoy the car for what it is.
Now that I said that, I have just done A LOT of appearance mods, but I don't know if I'd recommend GMS1; gives the car a boost but just been having a lot of problems. After thinking it over for a while, I'm going to get out of my warranty before I start with the performance mods. Congrats on the purchase!

thanks guys i dont want any serious power gains right now because all i need is more power when i dont have shifting down 100% yet. Im gonna keep it stock for like 30k miles probably except for maybe the charge piping because i hate the plastic, but idk.
Use a hairdryer or heatgun to heat up the adhesive behind the badge and then gently try and pry it off. To remove and remaining adhesive, use a product called Goo-Gone and it should come off. If there is a lot of adhesive, let the Goo-Gone sit on for a minute or two. Wipe with a microfiber towel and wash the paint to remove the Goo-Gone. Works like a charm.
By the way, after three days of driving, I've been getting better and better with the 5 speed. It takes a lot of practice, but once you can see improvement, you'll love the car even more.

can someone explain to me what no lift shift is. Not planning on doing it anytime soon just wondering and also launch control. I searched but didnt find anything. Thanks
Change the clutch when it no longer functions properly. Grinding a few gears doesn't hurt it.
I bought my car (07 SS 2.0) new at the ripe age of 17 when I was still in HS. It was my first manual car. Today, I have over 50k on the stock drivetrain with no issues to date, hell it still chirps 2nd if I shift it hard enough!
