Hey guys, I was wondering what that inner ring in the flex pipe is and what it does? My exhaust was ratteling between 800-1000 rpms and when I banged on it, it sounded like it was the catalytic converter. Once I pulled it off to put a universal one on, I found that the noise was coming from that loose white ring in the flex pipe near the flange... what is it? Can I brake it off to stop the noise or do I need it?
