In the press released to SEMA 2005 Ecotec was listed as supported.
The price was $1200-$1500 and compared to high end units like AEM's system or Electromotives TEC 3 this is CHEAP. Its also plug-n-play and no hacking.
For a competitive Phase 5 car you'll need some sort of aftermarket engine management.
Phase 5 was developled for 500-550hp, but to be competitive in NHRA Sport FWD, you need 600hp at least depending on the cars weight. In fact Steve Lockett's Neon is around 2400lbs and has run 9.84@148 and he makes about 600hp and change.
I mention his car because its automatic...
Jason Hunt's '00 Civic Si is 2515lbs and has the class record at 9.54@154
Kindles car has F.A.S.T which cost twice as much and I believe Erica's car has the same unit.
Sorry but you can't make that kind of power and control it well with fuel pressure regulators...
Im not sure how much Hahn's Port Fueler system will support and its around $500 total seperately or available with Hahn's turbo kits.
Speaking of Hahn there Ecotec car has run 11.44 at the NOPI World Finals in Norwalk. I believe that was still on the 16G turbocharger.
If I do build a Phase 5 car it will be pretty much stock engine with Hahn kit, rods, pistons, maybe CNC'ed head and aftermarket cams, but stock intake manifold, throttle body, etc.
Think I can get about 400hp somewhere over 20psi on a Super 20G turbo. Maybe hit it with 100hp of nitrous and maybe get 500+hp
But you have to start someplace and I need the rest of the money for suspension and transmission upgrades.
Anyway I just thought I would share, I'll be SHOCKED if somebody actually does more than bolt-ons save for HalfPint.

Tec 3 isn't much more thant 1200 bux man. 1200 bux is about standard for standalone EMS. I have seen Tec 3 kits for ~$2000 bux and thats all configured ect.
If the kit is fully setup for the Ecotec and it's 1200 bux thats a sweet deal right there.
