Fuel Filter Question......

Does anyone know what the difference is between the 2.0 LSJ fuel filter (ACdelco #GF824) and the 2.2L/2.4L fuel Filter (ACdelco #GF821)?

I ask because Hastings makes a fuel filter (GF372) for the LSJ for $23, and it looks exactly like what I have on my car.

I've read the only difference is "the internally regulated fuel pressure."

I thought we had a fuel pressure regulator in the fuel rail or the tank to do that?

Can someone educate me please....................and yes...........I've searched and am confused by conflicting statments.

Thanks

The lsj's fuel filter is different then the 2.2's fuel filter .... the internal fuel pressure regulator is what makes them different.

The LSJ filter is designed to handle more GPH of fuel flow.

I gotcha. Since it's less restrictive than my stock filter, it wouldn't matter which one I used?

the autozone filter blows. i have heard of alot of people that have had problems with them on the lsj. just buy the stock replacement filter. yeah its expensive, but you only have to change it every 25-30,000 miles so its really not that bad.

Don't listen to the uneducated voices on this forum.

The AZ filter is FINE and is identical to the excessively marked up filter you can buy at the dealership.

I got mine in. Process wasnt too bad but its a messy one for sure. Replacing the fuel filter fixed the starting and hesitation problems.
