G Teck Run!
my father got the g-teck RR for christmess so after he took it out on his vette i took it out in the ss s\c and got some pretty good numbers
got a 212.hp and a 0-100km in 6.6 seconds could not get a quater mile time because there was so many cars in front of me after...
had some problems with the g-tech reading the rpms on the cobalt but im wiating on a response to why it does not read them corectly...
cant wait till spring when i can test evything out that the thing can doo!!

I was asking someone about the G-tech that had one and they told me it reads the rpms through the vibrations in the glass. He said you have to move it around on the windshield to "calibrate" it. I really don't expect it to be that accurate, but I went ahead and ordered one anyways just for comparison purposes as I mod. (hoping it gives the same results everytime given the same conditions). It's supposed to be delivered tommorrow, hopefully I'll have time to mess around with it then.
Haven't put it in and messed with it yet, but looking at the instruction booklet you have to calibrate the rpms anytime you put it in a different car. You have to go through the settings, pick "calibrate rpm's", and then it will tell you what rpm to rev your car to for a few seconds. Hopefully that's all your problem was.
i havent looked thru the thread cuz i dont have time, but make sure that you dont compare the G-TECH to a dyno b/c they WILL BE different. the G-TECH is a form of real-world measurements which will signifcantly (at times) varry from a dyno. other than that it looks like yours is on target. another thing is i didnt see your TQ up there....... what did that read?
Well, I tried to calibrate the rpm's and I can't get it to read them right, either. Sitting at idle the rpm's shoot all over the place, anywhere from 800 to 7500 (despite the fact I have the rev limiter set to 6500 in the settings). If anyone has any luck getting it to work with our car, please post how you did it. My neighbors are tired of hearing me rev my engine trying to figure it out myself.
well i bought one then realized that it was very very hard to cali. correctly and it wasnt working for a **** with my RL so i gave up and sent it back and bought some lowering springs and saved 100 bucks
i personally wouldnt get it again b/c of the fact that it was a pain in the ass to keep from moving (shakeing causes false readings) and it was just overall to much work for me to get some readings, plus it told me i had like 160 hp and 270 tq??????? AT 7700 rpm's at that fact ......... on a RL ...... hummmm somthing was waayyyy off

yea we did that its all because our cig lighters in the ss\sc have filters on it so this is why its not reading the rpms right but evything else works they told me the hp and 0-60 evythign else works fine and is not off
