GM does it Right, Dodge Does it Wrong

So I was at a Dodge dealership for work, and I stumbled upon what I thought was a SRT-4. WRONG! It was a fake looking wannabe (the rims first made me realize this)

Here is the window sticker for a SX2.0 Sport. It is $23 000, the exact smae price my Cobalt SS 2.4 was.

So for $23 000, GM offers you a toned down version of the SS, that is still plenty more powerful and better handling then most 'sport compact' cars. Dodge gives you a regular neon with a SRT4 bodykit, hood, spoiler, and exhaust, and no performance upgrades.

Comparison

Cobalt SS
$23095
2.4L 171HP
17 X 6.5 Rims
205/50R17 Pirelli Tires
sport tuned suspension
SS 2.4 only body kit

SX2.0 Sport
$23315 ($22200 with manual)
2.0L 132HP
16 X 6.0 Rims
185/60R16 No name touring tires
SRT-4 bodykit/hood/spoiler

Hmmmmm.....what would you rather have?

you know what else is funny.... i went to my chevy dealer a couple days ago... and saw the cobalt ss/na 2.4L for 22,700 sticker price. wow, i was in shock... and it wasnt even fully loaded, still could put some options on it. I bought my cobalt ss/sc for 21,700 sticker price because of the GM discount... i find that halarious. i would not pay that 23 grand for that slow SS/NA.

damn you canadians for confussing us.

i think you should put cnd after you post a price or something so we know it's canadian and not US money. but back to your original post, i would rather take the cobalt.

This is exactly why I always put CAD or CND after I list prices...it just saves a lot of confusion in the long run. It was like the video posted of the base Cobalt running to 200km/h or whatever...ppl were going to start claminig BS until they realised it was a Canadian model and not American .

Just keeps things interesting .
