In Oregon, insurance is pretty cheap.....I pay $80.mo for the fullest coverage you can get. But I'm also 26 and married, with no accidents. I would guess somewhere in the $200/mo. range.

I am 36 and have 3 cars and only pay 56 mo for the cobalt ss/sc. I know 20 years of age is a bad price for insurance on people. You will have to call an agent you can get a free quote from just about any insurance company.

I'm 19 and I pay 170/mo full coverage with $250 deductible. I have good student + good driving record discounts. Also check to see if your insurance company gives onstar price breaks, I talked to the lady at onstar and they said you can get a 25% break for having the onstar since it has theft tracking and engine kill. My insurance company said they don't discount for that though... Guess they will be finding it on their own if it gets stolen then!

Also it's a bad idea to put a downpayment on the car at our age (save the money in case of emergency since we don't have steady jobs...).

I suggest you get a rate quote from an insurance carrier, it's free and it's the only way to know what your premium will be. You should always check insurance before you buy a new car.

$350 a month through state farm....

Athough thats around detroit MI. When I move to Howell, it's gonna drop $1000 a year. Plus I have a bunch of other discounts to lower it around $208 a month. I was paying $315 a month for my 04 cavy.

These rates make me SICK! I'm 19 with a little over a year of CLEAN driving, no accidents or tickets or ANYTHING. My insurance premiums are $1552 every 6 months!!! thats like $3100 a year for insurance. I paid for the 6 months in cash......but still why the hell is my insurance so insane, and that was the cheapest......geico wanted $5000 a year!?

I suppose Arizona has less hazardous weather than Minnesota, that would make sense.

Hmmm, never heard of any preferred member program. Maybe I'll ask the next time I talk to my agent.

Hell yea I am. And thats with a 1000 deductable!

Oh well, I'm used to it. When my Cavy was hit, I only got 6 grand after they used 6 grand to finish paying it off, and 1 grand went to my deductable cause the guy that hit me decided he can drive without insurance. Almost 2 months later in court over his ticket he said he still doesn't have insurance becuase he hasn't "had time to get it yet".
