ur not going to lose anything man. I have the GMPP touring on my ss/sc. I got 9 at the wheels with it. I like it because I had a custom 3 inch Flowmaster catback and i only saw 12 on the dyno. Plus i kept getting pulled over for it being too loud. Came in at like 110 dba. I went with the GMPP because it meets the 95 dba law. Don't get me wrong i still get pulled over for it but i just take it to the referee and have it ran. The GMPP is nice because it's not insenely loud alll the time and it's not annoying at 75 in cruise control like the other ones. It's actually really quiet but when u go WOT trust me u hear it. Plus what i think a lot of people are failing to see above me is that just because it's smaller doesnt mean u lose hp. Actually the GMPP has a much smoother and higher flowing muffler and resignator than the stock one. Also u do need a certain amount of back pressure fromk ur exhaust. You can't just thro a 4 inch deisel exhaust on and think it's going to work better than stock because that's not true. The GMPP exhaust is designed for the cobalts and yes is not as nice on a sc as it is a sport or something but yea.

it really does depend on the dealer. I have heard dealers say because u did an aftermarket exhaust we r voiding ur emissions warranty which is not a warranty u want to lose and yes GMPP does make a header. They just call it a honed exhaust manifold. Im in the same boat un r man i dont want to void my warranty

Is that a state law? Or is that the law everywhere?

This is one of the most popular exhaust's for the ss/sc , mild gains and one of the best sounding. So yeah don't get this evar!

If you are looking for great gains and not worried about be pulled over then I would go with the Hahn cat-back..it has a good tone with great exhaust flow.. but then again no cat-back will void your warranty, so any exhaust shop could make you a custom cat-back with a high flow muffler on the end.. I personally did that and I used a Stainless muffler for cosmetic purposes.. just remember anything from that last exhaust flange just past the last O2 sensor back does not void your warranty..

You mentioned something about GMPP manifold.. If you interested in that, just take your stock manifold off and dermel the hell out of it the best you can and you will get about the same gains and save 250 bucks..lol

honestly i am also amazed by the ignorance exhibit in this post. Like I said refer back to my post about the GMPP u dnt lose hp it sounds clean and does give mild gains. especially great if ur keeping warranty because trust me despite what dealers say if they dont want to do ur warranty they will find a way to say the catback caused it. I used to work for GM goodwrench and left my dealer because they pulled that BS. But seriously it sounds good and CED even has audio files u can listen to. And I know 95 dba is a law in california and a D.O.T. law. I know it is the law in almost all states but idk about everyone check with ur local state police angency.

I agree.. I think the GMPP is the best if your wanting to keep your warranty and not have any problems with a dealer and obey city and state laws plus have minimal gains and a good all around tone.. I would recommend the Hahn if you dont care about any of the previous..or a custom cat-back.. If you have catastrophic failure I would recommend putting the stock exhaust back on no matter what..lol..
