Got a present from the dealer...

Well I had a south florida 2.8" pulley on my car as the only mod (the previous owner took everything but that off before trading in), and bought a 3.25" pulley from them to replace the 2.8 cause I don't have the $$ to buy the supporting mods right now and I don't need this thing to blow. So anyway, while the pulley is on the way I was driving my car and all of the sudden I get a bad grinding/knocking noise . I am just about home so I drive there and pop the hood. Wouldn't ya know, my pulley came loose and was causing all kinds of chaos! It grinded the snout of the blower down some, seems to have ruined the pulley itself (I'm sure the holes are out of round now). I tighten it back up and drive to the dealer. I said I wanted a stock pulley put on and whatever else looks bad. This was last thursday. I kept calling them and the stupid service writer (are they always dumb? I know the one at our shop is a retard), kept telling me he wasn't sure what they were doing to my car and can only tell me that they ordered parts. So FINALLY today I get a call from the dealership saying that my car will be finished tomorrow and the parts they put on are a stage 2 kit I guess they couldn't get the stock pulley and decided to throw on a whole kit to make their 3" safe. All this is covered by the factory warranty! When I bought the car I noticed right away that the pulley on it wasn't stock and they said they would still warranty the car since I bought it that way. Very nice suprise indeed Just thought I would share.

Umm... I'd make sure they gave you the injectors and reflash to go with that stage 2 pulley.

Hahaha, yeah. I'm willing to bet you just got a pulley. Remember, the service people are idiots right?

if you're car doesn't go to 7k rpm, you probably don't have the stage 2 kit.

It'd be even funnier if it didn't have the injectors AND it could rev to 7k! Then he would be triple fncked! Too much boost, too many RPM's, and fuel injectors pulling too much frequency and blowing like pansies!

First thing I'm gonna do when I get it back is pop the hood. I know what the stock injectors are down to the part #(trying to figure out what was done to my car in the beginning and I looked everything up). I also had the stock rev limiter before I went in so I'll know if it's all stage 2. If not then I'll blow up the engine and get a new one I'll update tonight when I get it back.

Good deal man.. Nice to see that you have a stand-up dealership to deal with. I just hope they aren't some backyard type mechanics. Good luck though, you seem to have a good idea on what ya gotta do.

What sucks though is that since it's warranty work whoever takes the job gets paid less then what they would if it was just regular work. That means that they take their good old time on it and it's still not done today They said tomorrow for sure so we'll see. I wouldn't be suprised for friday lol.
