Gtech Pro RR

I just got my new Gtech in the mail today and let me tell you this thing is worth every penny! I was trying to get a review from somebody on this forum and the Redline forum but apparently some people think this will not work with either car because of the weird electrical system. I calibrated the unit and let me tell you- the RPMs are dead on and I haven't had any problems with the unit yet. There are so many features on this thing it is going to take a long time to go through them all and tell you about them but I figured I would help people out and give you guys a review if you are considering buying one of these.

Later next week I am going to try and figure everything out on it and I'll post a full review on here if anyone is interested.

It reads your RPMs through your electrical system via the cigarette lighter plug.

I also have a GTech RR and they are awesome. A lot of people say that they aren't accurate, but the Gtech themselves are actually very accurate, it's the users that mess up the results. The rr is auto leveling and temperature corrected. Just make sure when you do your tests that your on a level road and you always run in the same spot. It will measure peak hp even if your rpms aren't working correctly, but remember gtechs measure net hp so it will be after wind drag and rolling resistance. 2nd gear is the best way to do a power run because it has less wind drag. They are great for comparing before/after mods and comparing to other gtech rr numbers, but never try to compare against dyno numbers or track times because thats where they seem inaccurate. If the 1/4 mile times you run on the RR don't match up to your track times it's because of differences in traction and also roll out setting you input. At the track you will have a different rollout everytime and the gtech is always set on the exact same rollout. Also GTech trap speed will be higher always because it measures the speed your going at the time you cross the 1/4 mile mark rather than the average the track does. Have fun with it and use the software, its awesome for comparing graphs.
