HAHN RACECRAFT 2.4 Automatic turbo fully functional!!!
It's certainly possible. We've been conservative with the power so far, wanting to analyze the transmission's long-term durability first. So far, so good!
If all continues to go well, we will increase the boost level and use some stickier tires...with all due respect, getting a 13.7 ET out of the stock rubber was pretty awesome, considering the car will just annilihate the stock tires if one goes full throttle from a stop!
Combined with some simple weight redux, sub-6 second 0-60's are then a given!

do you have some tips on launching, what i did was brake boost as high as i could and launch in "L" Then I shifted to "I" to finish the 1/4 mile. I have falken ziex's 215's on the front so a little wider than stock.
That's usually the best method, as it keeps the traction control from intervening should you spin the tires (which you almost assuredly will!).
Frankly, the best way is to stage the car on the line at full throttle, then as soon as you let off the brake and the car starts to move, back off the gas HARD (down to 1/4 throttle or so), then roll back into it progressively, trying to achieve full throttle again by the time you shift to 2nd. If the tires begin to spin at any point in 1st, you got back into the gas too fast...let off IMMEDIATELY to get the tires hooked again, then roll back in. If they don't spin at all, be more agressive on the next attempt, until you find that sweet spot where they start to spin. Then hit the gas a little less on the next pass. You have to ride that fine line between wheelspin and max acceleration.
It takes practice, but this is how we launch all our cars that have more power than traction in 1st gear, even with a manual transmission. It's how I got our 5-speed SRT-4 into the 11's on street radials with a 1.82 60 foot time!

Any thoughts on a stage 3 , possible in the near future say income tax time ? Would the stage 3 just be an upgrade of the stage 2 meaning could I get the stage 2 and when stage 3 was available i could purchase the the upgrades what type of numbers would you be shooting for on a stage three ?

Congratulations, celicacobalt! Excellent job on the new numbers...with that 13.70 @ 104.60, you are now the 1/4 mile record-holder for the 2.4 Cobalt! Mighty tasty for an automatic trans car!

Stage III will come in early 2008. It's been our intention to first establish the durability of the automatic transmission in Stage II form first, and so far, so good!

thanks hahn racecraft for getting me there.
While we've sold some systems to 5-speed customers, I don't have any feedback as of yet. I do have one 2007 customer who we are working with more directly...what year is your car?
