We've discovered why you needed to have the case relearn done by the dealer, and will be able to prevent this from recurring on future orders.

Keep up the good work! I will get you and my son Adam on the phone together before you take it to the track for some launching and shifting advice. As Adam ran his Cobalt on stock tires, you may well beat his 13.7 with better tires and a touch more boost!
that sounds great Bill, thaNKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

I have a slight idea of your background but i think it would be more useful with a stick, my auto doesnt have much you can change to get better times, from my experience, the best times i get are with slightly lower tire psi, brake boost and go.

Notice how it makes nothing down low? From a stop the SS is going to eat that car up. From a roll it'll be close.

Wish you could have dyno'd from like 2000rpm+

guys mind you i dont like to bring this up as its not why this thread was started, but why tf does someone always have to same something about the other model balts on this site? i have noticed the ls and lt guys are always on that oh the ss guys are stuck up crap, and when the ss guys bust some chops we are immature. to top that off the sc guys catch all kinds of crap from everyone, lol. instead of saying something like oh go kick some sc ass, just pat the guy on the back for doing something not many people here have not done, and know your cars people, even with 230 something wheel hp, an auto ss will have a hard time with an sc model with a damn air box mod, maybe even stock, imo ofcourse. so lets try to keep "model busting" out of posts cuz it just gets people all fired up.

Take it out and play with it!

Inter-model competition is fun! So long as we keep it real, and no one busts stones just for the sheer fun of teasing.

Rest assured...these 2.4 'Turbalts' have PLENTY of low end power! Dyno sheets don't tell all...and the flatness and broadness of the torque and HP curves you see here indicate a very pleasing power delivery, from low to mid and all the way to high RPM with strong power everywhere. Bear in mind too...it's impossible to dyno an automatic car from low RPM, for they always downshift when you go to WOT. On the street, it's another story...and don't MAKE this turbo car guy start talking about how he's making almost 240 WHP at a mere 8 PSI boost in 95 degree weather

2.4 folks have endured being the 'red-headed stepchild' for some time. With some hope on the horizon now, let's let them have their excitement, and keep the ribbing all good-natured.

Conjecture is fun, dyno analysis cute...but there's only one place where the bullshiz stops when the green flag drops...

Take it outside, boys! (the dragstrip)

agreed.
This car from a stop is ridiculous. Loves to eat up my front tires like its nothing. I would LOVE to race a stock ss/sc and even a stage 2 ss/sc if the chance arose. Im not much of a street racer though so i gotta hope to see one at the track.

Solid numbers on a Mustang Dyno, that's easily a 260whp car. What kind of turbo does that kit use?

I think what we all just wanna see how it'll compare to the S/C model... duh. how well will it do against a stock SC how well against a staged SC, they're freaking fast. and what 1/4 mile times will it have...

IMO, what you put down will put a hurt on an SS/SC. People are forgetting, its a MUSTANG DYNO. It's more like 260-270whp which nothing but heavily modified SS/SC's are making.

What cost you a lot, the car mods or all the Jergens you have gone through since? Is your car intercooled? From your mod list, I did not see anything about an intercooler.

yes, the kit comes with a garrett spec intercooler.

i was getting about 27 mpg before hand with aggressive driving, its too soon yet for me to notice the gas mileage. in a little bit i'll report what ive found. I dont think it will get any worse than stock and it might actually get better.
