Turbo 2.4 up and running but not great...video inside

Well, tuned today on the dyno for about 5 hours and ran into a hiccup in the acceleration where the engine isnt getting enough fuel then all of a sudden it gets the fuel and takes off. Boost right now is at about 10 psi. No hp numbers are avialable as of yet since it needs to go back to tuning on the dyno once we figure out this problem. Me, WSFrazier, ppazz1101, and gtp were there. This is being tuned via LS2 Edit software.

enjoy the vid for now until a better one comes along.

Ok here's the graph from the dyno showing the lean spike...

Keep in mind, this wasn't a normal dyno run. This was just the tuner getting on the gas to see how the car handled boost.

Spike was a bad word choice.... it jumps up... but gradually comes down. It's way lean... no doubt about it. The guy tuning it said the PE table was way high... so it should be rich from what he said. I don't know though... he didn't give me a good look at the tables he was working with.

heres a link to the kit

http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...oletCobalt.htm

the car is on stock spark plugs gapped at 0.35

LS2 is the editing software being used

check engine light is solidly on after it had previously just been blinking

traction control on my auto tranny goes on and off

boost is at 10 psi right now

probably gonna have to mess with the few VE tables since you basically upped the volumetric efficency over 100% now with boost. thats gonna be the fun part... and that being off will definitely throw off the PE table like that

Its looking good so far. You can't expaect everything to be perfect right away, It takes time and it will get there.

VE tables are 5-dimensional. There's no tuning those just yet... not until we have access through HPT or LS2Edit to at least log or lock cam angles with VVT on this motor.

yeah thats way above my level of expertise right now.... thank god I got a ss/sc since their tables are already setup for boost... I just wish hahn didn't lock Kenny's (C/A) PCM I'd read it and send it to you (he bought HAHN's Sema car)

I'm sure we'll figure it out. It'd be easier if Dan wasn't in Michigan. He could read it and then we'd check this out in HPT. The tuner left the PCM unlocked so we could play with it.
