Has your Cobalt won anything?
How many of you guys have won or placed at shows in your Cobalt? I took 3rd place in my class at a show last weekend and wanted to see who else has.
Only been in one car show. Didnt win anything. Then again my car isnt all that great.
Besides nobody likes cobalts in my town. At car meets no one ever talks to us cobalt guys. You have to have a jdm car or muscle car to get noiced here haha

It's pretty much the same way here. There is almost no room in the local scene for a domestic car other than the truck guys and the classic guys. There is a couple small groups of modern 'muscle' cars, but they are mostly mainlander guys in the military so they don't really count. I'm the only actual local guy on island with a modded cobalt. The few other owners are all military guys as well. But all of that kinda worked in my favor for me. I've entered a quite a few local shows and even tho I never won anything (till this last one but we are getting there) I was a standout in a sea of imports and classic cars. I never fit in anywhere, so the show organizers always had a hard time figuring out where to stick me so I always was placed somewhere a little outside of the crowd, which helped make me stand out even more. That's how I caught the eye of the guy who does the car features of street pulse magazine. After the feature I started getting recognized more and more at the shows, meets, and cruises, which led to me getting a small sponsorship from a local detailing company (fresh2death detailing), which helped get my car even more recognition as it was always front and center at their booth at most of the local shows (they were usually one of the biggest vendors at the shows). As more and more people started to recognize my car, and that even tho there wasn't anything done to it that hasn't been done to other rides, people started to recognize that it takes a lot more work to get to this point with our cars than it does with a subi or Honda. And with all of that I finally was able to take first place Chevrolet. There were a couple times I was super pissed that I didn't win, but I know that a lot of times people win just cuz they have the right car that's trendy at the time. Like at wekfest Hawaii, I lost to a Charger with nothing but custom paint and rims, but everyone was riding those dodge charger nuts for a little while there...
Mine won your mom's heart! HA lol JK, Mine ain't won jack! I get complments alot, hell yesterday stuck in downtown traffic sitting at a light minding my own business and the woman in the car next to me yells "hey I really like your car" I was looking forward at the time so it startled me a bit then I thought hey a chick says she likes my car, so i turn to say thanks and its some 50 yr old crazy cat girl looking type so I said thanks then dropped a gear and disappeared. fml.

I was surprised I won anything lol. It was a show full of V8s held by a Corvette Club so I figured I didn't stand a chance.

Back in 08' my car won best tuner at the local show I attend.
I really don't go to "judging shows" with it, because most of the time they are looking for bling bling.
My car looks pretty much factory, but all the hard work, and what makes it special can't really be seen.
