head room

im 6'5" and am looking for a lil more head room.
07 cobalt ss/sc with heated leather seats

I would like to know if there is a way or an aftermarket bracket to mount the factory seats on and keep all the functions just lower. or if the recaro seats sit any lower.

any opinions welcome

I'm also 6'5", but I have no problems with headroom. Did you notice that your seat has a ratcheting lever on the side that raises and lowers the seat? I hope that helps, otherwise I have no other advice.

You doing the gangsta slouch? Don't know how anyone can drive like that, might explain a few of the "lost control on a straight road" accidents I have seen around here

I'm 6'1" and find the headroom barely adequite....seat all the way down, proper reach to the pedals, little far from the wheel. With a helmet on, I have to drop the seatback 1 notch or I am bouncing off the headliner, this leaves my reach to the wheel a bit much for any enthusiastic driving.

Not sure how much headroom the sunroofs robs but it is a fair bit. Can't see any factory seat being a whole lot different either.
Full on aftermarket racing seat might be a different story.

I'd have to ask a member on our Ontario forums, but he modified his seat in his 2.4 so it sits lower than the standard equipped ratchet allows for. He told me how he accomplished it but I can't remember to save my life.

I'm also curious as to how he made the seat go lower. I wouldn't mind if it sat down a bit more.

I'm 5'10" and the headroom sucks for me! Now try to fit your melon in there with a racing helmet on for AutoX and you've got yourself a REAL problem. I ended up having to AutoX with a mild to severe gangsta lean so I wouldn't hit my head against the ceiling!

I noticed how low Solstice drivers sit, maybe their seats have the same bolt pattern kinda like Honda and the S2000/Civic. Knowing GM, I doubt it but it might be worth looking into.
