2008 Cobalt. Both low and high beams turn on while on auto and dark enough or covering the light sensor. However when switching to on low beams nor high beams do not work but if i pull the switch as if in turning temporary high beam on they do come on. Any suggestions?

 

I'd start with checking fuses and the wiring to the headlights. It's possible the switch has gone bad, I don't have a wiring diagram of the switch but you should be able to check it with a multimeter.
