Could we get a full write up with part numbers and pictures if you do? Would help a lot of us out as if I could swap out to heated mirrors, I'd do so in a heart beat.

Yes I am going to do the heated seats first, then I will do the mirrors. Once I get that done I will post it.

Sorry don't know the part number off hand. However, this link should help you out a bit, although their cost is a bit pricey. http://www.newgmparts.com/partlocato...layCatalogid=0

I will try and find out the exact part number from the guy that will be doing it for me.

Can you find out if you can just order the "mirror glass with defogger"http://http://www.newgmparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=213815&cha pter=&sectionids=0,2732&groupid=2740&subgroupid=37 42&componentid=18947&make=6&model=Impala&year=2006 &catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0 if you already have "electric mirrors"? That would make the conversion / upgrade a lot less pricey!

I'll look into that to see if it will work. I know the guy that will be doing mine said that it is best to replace the whole mirror assembly, but if it will work with just the mirror, than that would be a better way to go price wise.

I'll get back to you on that once I look into it more.

Well, There are the numbers for Impala 06-07 heated mirror glasses: 89046148, 89046149 - for 4-dr sedan, and 88894726, 88894727 - for 2-dr coupe.

They look similar to Cobalt glasses, but it seems their shape is slightly different. The closer to car's body side of triangle is almost vertical on Cobalts but inclined outside on Impalas.

Am I right?

Please someone park your Cobalt near Impala and compare the shape and dimensions of mirror glasses.

Humm, maybe that is why the guy told me that I have to change the whole mirror assembly.

I'm not sure... They could be same. I have only a picture of Imapala's mirror and it is taken not from a straight angle.
You really better check yourself, go find Impala. I simply can't do this because there are no Impalas where I live.

Actually, I am going to take my Cobalt in next week to the dealer for an oil change. I will check out the Impala's that they have there.
