Hey guys, Im new here but Ive been reading around on here for the past 2 weeks. Currently I drive a 2000 xtreme show truck and Ive been watching the cobalts before release and my dealer got one in so I decided that I would take one for a spin with my dad. OMG IM SOOO LOST FOR WORDS. The truck is soooo being sold, bye bye. My dad and I were so amazed with the accleration, speed, breaking and handling even with 18s and low pros. We didnt drive the g85 which I was hoping that it was but it wasnt. I mean, I cant tell you guys how fast i wanna get my truck sold so I can get me one of these bad boys.

Nice. I also used to own a 2000 xtreme s-10. That's how it is all people have to do is drive one once and they'll understand.

Dont flame me guys one s10 owner to the next. How bad can the cobalt beat the s10 out of the hole and from like a roll just wondering does the cobalt pinn you back in the seat more. I also myself have a show sportside s10 with the 4.3 vortech with just a intake and exhaust for the performance. I was just wondering cause if they are that awsome and i know they must get better gas milage i will be saying bye to my s10 with no regret

i too was planning to buy an S10 xtreme......last year..........but meh....

 

yeah i think everyone wanted an s 10 extreme at one time or another.

 

I had a 1995 S-10 SS, which was only available as a reg cab with the 4.3 CPI Vortec rated at 195HP and 265ftlbs TQ. The S-10 SS was a bit faster than Extremes and my SS/SC pulls way harder from a roll and both equally suck from a dead stop due to wheel spin.

 

Should have got the LSD. :P

 

LSD has nothing to do with wheel spin. Unless you meant the S-10 SS, and that had 3.42's and I replaced the OE differential (Centrifical locking type) with a Torsen.
