Question How to attempt this project...

HI folks. I am interested in installing a device that could hold my laptop in my car. Are there any products out that can be a 'laptop stand' in your car? if not, I am probably going to attempt to build one/ install it in my seat somehow. BTW - ricer moment - I recall seeing Vin Diesel with a similar laptop holder in his car on Fast and the Furious. Has anyone done this/ have any ideas how? Thanks for the ideas

Any police supplier should sell something like this. Most police cars that I see here in town have thier computers secured on a swivel set-up.

Here is what Galls has. They are a police supplier.

Here is another one.

They have a few more. Take a look around their site.

this is the first thing that came to mind:

"Secures laptops, binders, and books, making note-taking easier. This organizer features a slide-out writing surface, a hanging file storage area, and a large desktop area. A seat-belt restraint holds the organizer in place."

Those prices are definitely not for the public.

It astounds me the amount of money that government agencies will spend on mundane things.

Something like that shouldn't cost more than $30 at best imo.
