Everytime I teach someone to drive stick, the 1st thing I do is take them to a parking lot and show them how to launch the car with only the clutch, and although it might not be good for the car, drive around at low speed without ever touching the throttle. Then they feel the sweet spot and stalling is not an issue any longer.

 

all right heres a full right up how to shift ur car in the rain

1 rev ur engine for 6 minutes at a red light hitting the rev limiter if the light turns green dont worry about it just say ur trying to have a smooth start
2 after ur engine is overheating drop the clutch like a **** and shift into 2nd without even using ur clutch if u hear something like a cat dieing its ok because it sounds hella good!
3 rock ur wheel left and right just for the hell of making squiggly lines in the rainy rode people will love it
4 ITS THE PIMP **** IF U THROW UR HAZARDS ON WHILE UR DOING THIS TO CREATE A LIL DISCO SHOW!
5 (optional) if u dont have a cold air intake to make ur supercharger sounds like a mean **** gypsy pirate then just scream out ur window to imitate that sound then again its (optional) hope i could help u out!

lol the cobalt was my first stick car and havnt burned the clutch noting and yeah like he said like i learned tap the gas pedal and let go of the clutch a lil and itll go nice thats how i learned to get up hills lol oo god i member the first day i drove my cobalt i was on a hill and i went to go and well i kinda reved the car up and uhh forgot to let go of the clutch as im rollin back i finaly reliezed it and kidna popped the clutch and peeled out all the way up the hill lmfao it was great

 

i wasnt talking about racing... i put "launching" because i dont know what to call it. just taking off. i'm not retarded.

We could call this the Cobalt Rain Dance. I'm sure it will catch on faster than the macarena! The perfect addition to any ricer's repertoire...just do this before you race someone at a light and finish them off with the flyby. 60% of the time it works every time!
