Hi guys, maybe some of you are aware of this, maybe not, but I ordered a black 07 G85 SS S/C back on June 6th, and I'm still waiting for it.

So its been a little over four months now and it still isnt here. It was built on the week of Sept 24--30th, and the inventory manager at the dealership told me it should have been there on the 11th of october. It is now the 16th and I'm getting a little impatient. Whats bugs me is they say they cannot track its exact location and that I should just keep waiting.

My question to everyone that special ordered their car, is how long did you have to wait for it to get to you?

 

about 4 months for me, you should get it any day now.

 

I special ordered a number of months before the 07s went into production. I received mine August 15th, with the G85 Recaro package and all. I virtually had no waiting time between the time it was built and when it was delivered. I also have a personal relationship to the dealer owner, however. Regardless it doesn't sounds like you should be waiting much longer - I've heard of people waiting much longer than yourself.

I ordered my 05 in January and then I got a phone call about the first week of March.

 

I saw a red 07 s/c at my local dealer for about a month.
havent been in there for a few weeks but its probably still there.

What options did you pick when you special ordered the car?

 

onstar
6-cd changer
side curtain airbags
sunroof
G85, which got downgraded to just the limited slip according to the window sticker
heated seats which i didnt order, but im assuming they applied them because the recaros were deleted
I know im missing something but I cant remember what

All in all I ordered it with everything but the polished wheels.

 

Recaros still come in the 07s. My dealer has one right now. I seen it, sat in it, and drove it. I don't know why everyone says recaros were deleted.

Wrong, Recaros no longer come in 07's. Only those manufactured before september 2006. So you have about 2 months or so worth of Recaro placement. Not a high number of cars with them.

And seeing as you've been waiting for so long, you wont be getting recaros.

 

^ yup. I believe I just missed the cutoff date as I seem to remember someone saying it was sept 21st.

I found the list price for the recaros from GM, and $2000 is far too much for me to justify getting them. Guess I'll either have to trade with someone + cash or just enjoy the heated seats.

 

I think the Non-recaro SS seats arent offered in heated, unless its new in 07'

 

i ordered mine in mid september and it should be here next week. No you can't get the recaros any more, and that sucks, and yes there was an option to get heated seats.

 

I bought an 05'SS/SC around March of 05' and got it mid June 05'.

 

didn't have to wait. went to the dealer and they had a black one with the g85 package with the gmpp exhaust

 

Well now youre just trying to make me jealous. lol

 

Over 6 months, it might take a couple weeks to reach you depending on a bunch of factors. They can't track it in transit, it's not UPS package

 

I have like 6 dealerships around me right now, all within 30 minutes that have at least 1-2 cobalt ss s/c.

 

the one i work at has 7 ss s/c's and 1 is an 07 with the ls wing, the 6 06 models have G85 and theres also a used black 05 ss s/c for like 18.5 i think

 

I don't think they offer the Recaros in the new Redlines either.
