I got mine from a scale down at Raceway Park (drag strip). I know it's a bit off but those scales shouldn't be that much off.

I have some "weight reduction" so that's why it will be lighter than most

^^^ mods ok because there has to be something going on....I went to the garbage dump that use the scales to see how much crap people are coming in and out with so it should be relatively legit, but theres always some error.

3148lbs = me + car + full tank of gas
3148 - 240(me) - 110(gas) = 2798lbs

I personally think that the "2801" lbs sometimes used for the Cobalt is the most accurate.

Wow, I have you all beat lol. Weighed in at HRP twice on two different occasions:

1st: 3010lbs no weight reduction on an "empty tank"
2nd: 3032lbs no weight reduction about a 1/4 tank

Me = 245lbs

3010
-245lbs
2765lbs race weight + 2lbs (drivers mat was removed for maximum foot room) = approx 2768lbs

My new vehicle weighs 4,500lbs with me in it on an empty tank LOL.

Umm, taking the rear spare out with jack is like the first thing u do, I took out my rear seats, head rests, swapped to cloth seats (which are like 2 lbs lighter than the leather seats lol!) cf/fiberglass hood/trunk/front fenders, wheels, thats all the not too major stuff....when you get into the major stuff, thats like no a/c, no carpeting, one seat, no door panels or rear panels, half the dash removed, no radio, etc

2894 - my car, me, and in between 3/4 and half tank of gas
125 - me, aka shrimp
0.75 * 13 gallon tank = 9.75
9.75 * 8 (8 lb for one gallon of gas) = 78
6.5 * 8 (^^^) = 52
78+52 = 130/2 = 65 lbs
2894 - 125 = 2769 car with my gas
2769 - 65 = 2704 car with no gas about

Well, I'm sure a lot of folks can drive just as well! I was just literally obsessed with perfecting my launch....So bad that I would spend 1-2 hours on a backroad by my house doing nothing but trying different launching techniques..almost on a daily basis.
