Exclamation As I currently sit waiting for AAA...

I broke down... Hard.

Driving on the interstate, all electronics start going haywire. Engine dies. Headlights start strobing. I got an airbag warning and a power steering warning.

I can't restart the car. All the information center readings are just lines. Except my coolant shows -40°.

The engine bay smells like burning electronics.

At first all lights were working, and I could turn the key to "ON". I tried jumping the starter, and the whole car goes dark... Like there is no battery.

Wow. What did I destroy?

Thanks, caulk, for the English lesson. I shouldn't care to let you know that I'm wet, cold, stuck on the interstate with a broken car, and that sometimes, my phone likes to choose a different word than I intended. But, just for you, I will correct it. That is the one thing I can fix right now. Ohhhhh, and if you happen to be near mile marker 194 on I-81 SB, why don't you come by to try to give me some more English lessons.

Have you done anything to the car lately?

My final assessment is an optimistic one. I'm hoping all that wonky behavior was a result of me running out of battery due to a blown alternator. As of right before the tow truck hooked me up, I had zero juice flowing. I disconnected the battery a few times and got some power, for the interior light and such, but when I tried to crank it, the car went pitch black. No life for anything. It remains in that condition as I ride with my new friend, Andy, who will drive me and the SLOBALT the remaining 100 miles.

Step one tomorrow is going to be checking to see if my battery is truly dead. If it's not, I've got some serious problems.

If the lights turn on an everything when you got the key(or push button?) to 'ON' then it doesn't sound 2 bad.. I had the same kind of problem with my balt a couple yrs back.. the ring for the positive wire for the HiDs had come disco because the piece connectin it to the actual wire had gotten melted an burnt up..

Drivin down the road, goin bout 15mph, Dark as **** outside, an the car jus shut off, thankfully I was around the corner from my buddies house lol I disconnected all the HID ****, gave it a minute an it cranked back up..

Your problem might be different, but maybe I'm pointin ya in the right direction?

an if you wouldve broke down last weekend I couldve came an helped ya out :

Did you ever get out of the rain? I'm in Northern VA, just about a 4 hour ride from where you were stopped.
Even if I did some get you... 3xA would be there long before I would be...

AA, eh?

Update:

The battery was dead. We charged it. Turned the car on. Still same power steering warning, low fuel warning, and all mileage readings show nothing and temperature gauge says -40°.Turned the Kerri, just a few clicks from inside, no life.

Tried jumping the crank relay, nothing. Not a thing. Like it's not even there... Code scanner won't make a connection on the OBD II.

This is looking grim.

Update: checked Some fuses, three fuel pump isn't getting any juice. A fuse labeled ecm/pcm had nothing going to it either.
