After dealing with 2 different dealerships who said they could get me a Laserblue G85 ss/sc which they couldnt i went to the dealership who acctually had the car which was 2 hours away which i will be picking up next week.

What a way to spend a day of holidays.

For those of you who are still lookng my understanding is there is 1 more laserblue g85 in quebec somewhere. I know that my dealer and the one in quebec are not doing ANY dealer trades on the car so my advice is going to that dealership if you are serious about getting the car.

yea there was a laser blue one in Quebec with the G85 package and no xm or onstar for like $28,800 before haggling...that was last week tho maybe its gone now.

I bought a black one a few days ago but it had the xm radio...what can you do there are very few 06 models with good options left...

 

Is the Laser blue the blue that looks like it is Purple in some angles? I baught a Ultra Silver Metalic just last Thursday, they got a Blue SSS/C on a dealor trade but it didn't have the G85 so I decided to get the Silver one.

 

What holiday is it?

Oh hey I just competed in my first autocross with the new car today and got second in class so I was pretty happy about that.

 

I hope to be doing some solo 2 events soon. I did one in my Z24 and had a blast.

 

That is correct. The Laser blue looks purple some times.


BTW.. Whats the G85 Package?

 

Ok then the dealorship I got mine from has one of the last blue ones, the G85 is LSD and Recaro's.

 

Ahhh the traction control option. I didn't like the ricaro seats so I didnt get that option. There was a used SS/SC at the dealership with only 1200 miles on it. I checked it out and noticed the front left corner fish net pattern on the drivers side seat was already starting to rip & fray from entering and exiting the car. I didn't want that top happen to mine so I went with the leather seats.

 

If you got yours in Toronto it may have been the Demo that they had at West York Chev. If its new someone must have been holding out.

No no I got a silver one brand new G85 from Addison on Dundas and Kemble it isn't really traction control it is a differential that limits a wheel from spinning, normally the wheel on the inside of a corner will have less weight on it and spin up easier thats why it is called a Limited slip Differential. I think the best part about the Recaros is I wont be baking my legs and back in the summer and freezing them in the winter.

Are you finding the clutch a bit different from what you were driving before?

 

It's totally different but I am a mechanic and all standard cars are different, it's electric throttle I am not a fan of but I think I have gotten use to it. I now have about 1540 on the car and I love driving the thing. I was up at Mosport on Sunday and saw two other SC/SS's one black and one blue, that is now the most I have seen in one area.
