I live in montreal ( well just a bit north) and we got snow ice and crappy weather the past two days. My cobalt since in the garage each time I come home. Changed the Pirellis for Toyo Garrit Kx 16" . Best move I could ever make

I had the same problem over the weekend. I finally got my SS out yestday because the roads were good and clear. I tried to get all the ice off my car but the huge chunk on the roof was stuck and unfortunately it came off while driving and smacked my wing. I don't see any damage though, I cringed big time when it happened.

From back in October. Pretty crazy

Look at the paint, the ENTIRE car was covered, not just streaks of ice, but ENCASED in ice.

Took me damn near 30 min to get into the car to start it and heat the damn thing up!

Just be careful with the hot water thing, when glass goes from freezing cold to boiling hot, it can break, specially windsheilds. Not so much on tempered glass, thats your door windows, quarter glass and back glass. We get about 10 cars in the winter each year with broken windsheilds due to people thinking its a good idea to drop boiling water on their windsheild. Also with Canadian tire and their stupid windsheild fluid warmer we got a LOT more glass claims last year. We dont mind the buisness, but just thought i'd put the word out.

Well, on top of that, the hot water will evap off, leaving the glass even colder by aborbing the energy it needs to evap. This will make the glass freeze over again in a crytaline structure that is WAY harder to see through. Hasn't anyone taken chem?
