idle shacking
idle shacking
My problem is, "if its a problem"
when my engine idle, i can feel a lil shaking caused by the engine, its no a constent shaking like a vibration, that shaking occur every 2 -3 secondes and i can feel the whole car shaking, its minor but still, only by starting me AC, its stop, because the AC is suckin a lil bit a power from the engine and it stop doing it. i also noticed that shakin on my GF 2004 sunfire, it is normal, anyone have the same problem?
Thanks

what is the cause of idle surge?
well, if you mean the rpm going between 800 and 1250 rpm. sometimes and stopping, that is not what i am talking about, when the shaking is occuring, the rpm is totally stable. so a rpm variation is not the cause of the issue.

hm...
check your belt line... make sure the belt isnt cracked.. make sure your pulleys are all okay... gonna have to just start knocking **** out 1 by 1
Mine does it as well.
When I'm at a traffic light. Vibrations on the passanger side are stronger than on the driver's side, however, they are constant, they do not go away.
Also, once in a while PRMS jump between 800 - 1250 for a few seconds and then settle down(also at a complete stop).
Any ideas?
