I'm Back...how about a catch up

well after about 2 months ..I'm back from Australia and Thailand ...well sort of in 3 more days I will get to take the cover off the Cobalt ..but I feel that I have probably missed allot of news..

so hopefully someone can catch me up with what’s been going on ..

I left in the middle of the stage kit craze where dyno sheets were scarce and reliable info even scarcer .. what’s the verdict on the kits ..?

what’s the fastest street driven 1/4 mile cobalt ..

who has the fastest stock time right now?

I did some reading on intense and there new kits ..what about others ...what is the highest HP cobalt out there ..and what times is it putting down ..

aftermarket was slow when I left ...any change

I see that people are still complaining about clutches so I assume there has been no resolution by GM or fix ...

and anything else that might be of interest ...

Look forward to reading what’s changed ....and cant wait to get back behind the wheel of my SS again ..let alone see one

The latest.

Clutch hydrolics suck. Stronger clutches are unable to be disengaged do to the lines and master cylinder deforming under increased pressure.

HP Tuners have released a tuning software for the LSJ.

Rob has the best performing car thanks to HP Tuners and his awesome ability to tune with the software. He's running 60lbs. injectors, 2.5" pulley, and LS1 MAF with custom 3.5" piping and K&N 9" filter for an intake.

Intense now has 5 Stage kits with tuned PCM's not MAF-T's.

Stage Kit's are awesome (GM's are conservative compared to Intense's), but the car still lacks traction.

Tofu bailed on the SS S/C for a V8 Silverado.

I'm waiting for him to throw a Whipple or Vortech Supercharger on his 5.3L, soon to see 12's out of his pick up. Holding asses to follow after being kicked by a pickup.

Sounds like pretty good news for the most part .. how much HP is Rob Pushing ... and have prices come down on the stage kits or are they unchanged for the most part ... ?

Rob's pushing between 270-280whp and same amount of torque too. Intense Stage 5 is $1,000

Pretty much the same.

Here is the first dynoed with the HP Tuners, 2.5" pulley, 60lbs. injectors, and stock intake. He has tinkered with it from there.
