It's not gonna last!!!

Think I'm done with my Cobalt. I hate to say it but it was just a temp car anyway. Kinda bought it on a whim and not really happy with it. I'm not gonna bash it or anything and may keep it through the rest of the winter (or lack of it here so far) and trade it in in a couple months, just know that its gone soon.

Nothings really wrong with it per-say, but i was gonna turn it into a show car for work, but not really excited about doing that to a cobalt. The upgrades (to date) will get me to what 270hp maybe what 300hp without going insane on $$$$. I can get a stock 06 Mustang GT at over 300tp or 06 Charger Daytona at well over 300tq (345tq i think) and i like the bigger engines as well. I know that they are heavier etc and there is pros and cons with both, just really not happy with GM and the cobalt. Havent decided yet on what i'm getting but the lack of tq/mods/base hp is just depressing. I usually dont have a car longer than a year or two anyway and this waiting isnt doing it for me. By the time anything comes out i'm going to on to something new anyway. At least if i get say an 06 Mustang i can toss on a supercharger and be at over 400hp and tq. And thats one bolt on mod. And if i want to go 4banger i would get an SRT-4 or an EVO or STI. Or if i want somthing "ricer" even older rx-7 or who knows i would even hit an older supra. But i just dont see cobalts being able to compete with whats out there right now. Think i want Amercian Muscle and i want a BIG V8 or Hemi i want that rumble, not a whine

Sorry to hear that.

If you want inexpensive, american muscle look into an 04 GTO. The resale is low, so you can get it for maybe mid to high 20's and the LS1 has a lot of potential. Food for thought. Insurance for an 05 GTO vs. my 05 SS S/C was only 30 or 60 every six months. That was for me 20 yrs old at the time I checked, single male.
