Just did the Focus mod.
ive been looking at these a lot and test drove a brand new one a little while ago. to the people who have suggested what they would have got and think this is a terrible choice, its a perfect upgrade in my opinion from the ss/tc if youre looking to stay in the same type of platform. but i know most of you think im crazy for saying upgrade but thats just my opinion anyways, and thats because most of you only care about power...well stock for stock its very close to the same but basically every other aspect goes to the focus so its perfect. good luck with your new car and i hope to be in one soon as well! however, from what ive seen i do kind of feel like you should have got a '13 st3 a little cheaper than that nowadays..

thats what im saying..trust me i really like the new 5.0s and stis and mazdaspeed3s that have all been mentioned but i really like the whole 4 cyl, 2.0 turbo, 30mpg thing...plus growing up the 4 doors is a nice plus. therefore making it perfect for me...its really all about personal preferences!
they make a 2013/14 cobalt sedan that i can get with no miles and start over with? with a 6 spd, a hatch(that i can actually put stuff im versus the small hole for a trunk on my 08 ss now), a nice lcd screen with my ford touch and sync?
just chucking **** at ya. the ST looks nice but i would stick with my sedan personally. as long as you like it!
i dont even know what you mean by .02 mpg improvement lol but hey if i could turn back the miles on my cobalt i would keep it but im almost to 100k and i just want something new..also, i would love an sti or ms3 but the 5 mpg difference in those is huge to me as much as i drive for work.

I beg to differ those mods dont change anything on a balt. I bought my balt bone stock and ran a buddy then put on an intake and downpipe and went from a close race to me pulling. Also slap the same turbo that is on a cobalt on one of these ST and see what happens. This car is making close to the same power on a smaller turbo. I love the cobalt for being quick but the interior was lack luster, it was a rattle box, didnt have any of the cool Nav, ambient lighting, heated seats, leather recaros or any of that. Ive put about 50 miles on the ST now and it felt right on par with the balt when it was stock. If you havent driven one go to a dealer and rally one around an on ramp or something, Will totally change your mind i promise. My one and only grip so far is the ******* bolt pattern 5X108. Try finding wheels in that lol

That was in response to Dwoods54, not the the OP.
I'm just busting your *****.

It's kinda been proven that no matter what mods you throw at a LNF it will do nothing until the learn down feature is disabled via tuning, so that video is like comparing them stock for stock. I'm sure the car handles great but doesn't the LNF still hold a faster lap time around the ring?
The one bad thing is the brakes can't handle constant abuse or track abuse i should say. So if you thinking about auto Xing you might have to upgrade. Other than its a nice car. I really love the interior and the record feels great. It's a great very practical performance hatch. Enjoy
I haven't had much luck with the Fords I owned in the past, so even the new ones I talk bad about.
It is a lateral move, in terms of power and platform.
The one thing that would bother me is getting another FWD. Cobalt is the first one I've owned and I don't see myself getting another.
The space is nice though. Performance sedans is the upcoming thing. I can't DD a coupe anymore.

Way back in the day Autocar and Mack had active grille vents. They were to control airflow through the radiator, and thus engine temp. Worked passably well until the first pice of crap kicked off the road. Then as you can imagine, it didn't work so well.

whys everyone hate on this car so bad. it is a little slower so what. its a turbo not too hard to spiff em up a bit if thats what youre looking for.
the st is just such a nice car besides raw power. pricier than a new sstc sedan yeah but considering the quality, features and everything id say worth it.
besides a golf r this would be my 'upgrade' car
