Just did the Focus mod.
I wanted a golf r soo freaking bad. but then when it came down to not being able to turn off the traction control. that was a deal breaker for me. I almost bought a 2013 rising blue 4 door golf r. but for 30 k and I cant turn of esc. F THAT
the focus is a bad ass car as well. The only thing I am not a big fan of is the interior. little too much space shipy feeling. But that is just my opinion. Over all the st is a great bang for the buck!

I guess my biggest problem with this is that I don't see it as an "upgrade" to the Cobalt. At best, like others have said it's lateral. To all saying, just put a bigger turbo on it and it will be fast, most buying a new car are not looking to void their warranty right away, I know I wouldn't. I will say that the features in the Focus are pretty cool with the touchscreen and all that jazz, but if you look at the Cruze and other cars in that class you are getting touchscreen. As of right now you don't hear and squeeks and creeks because it's a brand new car. I know my Cobalt didn't, and really doesn't now. IMO its still an econobox with a bring price tag.

I've always ragged on the st's, still a nice car and all but if you wanted a upgrade in quality from a cobalt but still stay fwd I would have gone with a new ms3. 4dr, hatchback, very similar power etc
The dash does look kind of space shippy but the seats look awesome. Heated seats are so nice to have in winter time. Might be an option to pick up a used one in a few years, hopefully they depreciate like Cobalts lol.
Good looking girl also!

it's a nice car can't deny that.. if i was to upgrade it'd have to be AWD or the soon to come Subaru BRZ STi they've been talking about.... that's only to replace the balt.. secondary would still be a big ol 6.0L GTO yum

Gotta agree with this guy. Any car that is still fwd isn't an upgrade :P. Now all the cheap plastic that was in the interior is just on the engine
A fully loaded mustang is like 38k before tax. I paid 26.5k for this car before tax and all. The car is family friendly, handles like it is on rail, has every option available, and get 32 MPG and with a turbo swap people are making over 400whp. This car is a more refined and updated cobalt essentially. Thats around the price balts were going for brand new people. STIs are like 10k more and im not a subie fan
Nice choice though, just bought the wife a 13 SE hatch, Ruby Red with the sport package.
So easy to get stuff in and out compared to my Balt, rides better, handles decent enough, get better mileage than my 2.4, and the 6 speed auto (ok, automated manual) doesen't suck all the life out of it like an old school torque converter auto.
Too bad she can't drive stick, she might have the Balt now
Not an upgrade, still FWD
This, almost $30K sticker for an econobox racer is overpriced IMO. If I was wanting a new sedan in that price range, I'd have just bought the Fusion instead or an Audi A3
