have a mechanic you know or trust take a look at it. then offer 8-9k. If the drive train is in good condition it could be a nice car. But what I'm curious about is how it can be keyed but you give it a 7/10 on paint? shouldnt that be like a 3/10?

Alright I'm prob goin tmrw and I have a plan. first I'm goin to check it out after it's been reconditioned and if it looks decent I will test drive it and offer down to 9k or under. If he doesn't bite I'll walk out and keep looking

oh and northvibe I meant the paint is a 7 judging the paint itself minus the scratches

From the sound of it that car is pretty beat. If I were you I'd wait and save up a couple thousand dollars more and get a TC. You'll most likely be bored with an SC a few months into owning it. I used to own an 07 SS/SC and the only thing I miss is the sound of the supercharger lol. I've had my TC since Halloween of 2009 and I couldn't be happier. Don't rush into anything and make sure you're getting what you want. With the way the TC's are depreciating, you can probably get into one sooner and easier than you think. Just keep looking and good luck.

haha forget that. i got into researching it because i actually wanted to do a turbo build on the ls and come to find out that the l61 is just a pos motor. also i had an automatic and although i guess thats good for track times, its no fun...

too late now. sold it for a good price. now looking for an ss/sc for around the same price i sold it to keep payments the same.
