Question Keep the 2.4 or Upgrade?

Hey guys, just got a quick opinion for ya.

I just got my SS in june. I love it. I've done some minor appearance upgrades but thats about it. I just started my new job in June and I'm ramping up real quick, making great money. I put tons of miles on the car. Still under 3 months and I have 7000miles. I would like to keep it for a couple years, do some performance upgrades and a bit more appearance too.

Do you recommend pouring a few grand into it (in the spring- damn WNY winters) or "upgrading" to something else? I like the idea of a supercharged 2.4 with exhaust, intake, header, f/r sway bars, slightly lower springs, and better brakes.

I take great care of it. 93 octane, mobil 1 (thrice already)... I'm worried that with the hard driving and all the miles that I won't get my money's worth in the long run?

Thanks a lot.
Devin

^ im getting steelies soon.

the two options are:

-upgrade the 2.4
-get something a bit nicer (used g35, a sky redline and a winter beater, etc)

i want to keep the balt, im simply worried about how much mileage im putting on it to be worthy of a bunch of upgrades.

i dont do that much mileage, but close. i do delivery for pizza hut so its all city driving so its pretty much the same. you've got a good car just upgrade it. it would be different if you had something like an older focus like i had or an older car. but not a car with 7k miles:P

i'm pretty knowledgable about supercharger setups, but not really turbo. i'm concerned about reliability of turbo, and maintenance, with all the driving i do.

thoughts.... turbo or super?

Keep in mind, either option would be getting pro-kit springs, f/r sway bars, exhaust, intake, header, and upgraded brakes.

Go with the hahn turbo setup...I have the ss/sc but I wish it was turboed instead....turbo is actually easier on the engine and more efficiant.

excellent. thanks!

any other thoughts on hahn turbo vs. scdyne super? any speculative prices?

i assume the turbo will produce more power top end.. i'm more concerned with low end and acceleration.

Im just waiting to see a 2.4 thats turbocharged . I truthfully think it would be easier to make more power with a turbocharged 2.4 , than a supercharged 2.0 .

the 2.4 is a great car, + u will be kinda unique. I wouldnt worry about the miles, cobalts from my experience are pretty decent cars and can last a while.
