KEEP STOCK or Not ?

i was wanting to know ur opinions on the flywheels in the cobalts. i have a 2007 ss with a 2.0 and i was thinking about putting a lighter spec flywheel (about 7 to 9lbs) since im putting a stage 3 spec clutch in. im just concerned about the differences ppl have had and if i should get it or just resurface my stock flywheel

thanks

If your going to road race, or auto x, go with a light. If your going to drag race the heavier flywheel will help get you off the line and get things rolling.

You shouldnt change the weight of teh flywheel at all...

It can actually cause misfires.

Don't do either.

Buy a brand new one from CED for $137.

The one on CED (Crate Engine Depot) is the OEM flywheel that comes with the car.

Unless your a serious racer, auto x or something, I wouldnt consider it. My friend put one of those on his nsrt4 and it made the engine surge at idle
