Look out SS's.... there is a new focus in town
I can just imagine the look on the dealerships face when you ask them to take out the Saleen focus for a test drive and use the NoS
That says a alot about this car......
Its just a bit impractical from all angles thats all. I like the SVT Focus, I dont like this though.

BTW, Speed Mag tested this car along with the Cobalt SS/SC, SRT-4 and RSX-S and it came in dead last, not to mention the car dynoed at 186 whp and 118 whp without the bottle. Pathetic!!!

Permafried-
Yeah there is one in charleston here for $31000! The guy at the dealership said it was real sweet, as I was laughing at it coming in last place in the Speed Magazine. I told him it was still slow even with the juice, that by7 the way voids your warranty once it's hooked up, and he got all huffy and walked away. Loser!
The answer, my friends is cash... Saleen/Ford is cashing in on wannabe "enthusiasts" who say WOW! It's more expensive so it must be better and sticking the Saleen badge on a half-assed upgrade job to prey on the weak of heart/strong of wallet who don't know true standards of performance.
As many of you have said the Focus was an ugly car to begin with, but when Ford and Saleen saw a relatively untapped market for an upgradeable compact, all that went through their collective heads was "CHA CHING!"
I'm so sorry to see Saleen sell out like this and I hope Lingenfelter (God rest John's soul) would never do the same.

It may be ugly, and it may be slow, but it's handling is superb. In many reviews I've read about the Saleen focus, they've all said it out handles the evo. Therefore, I like it. I do agree that nitrous from the factory is pretty stupid, especially since they give you something you cant use or your warranty's gone. You'd think Saleen would be smart and supercharge the ****** thing. And hey, if it was supercharged then Ford would actually be able to compete in the domestic compact market.
So even from a Focus fan, I'll admit it's a disapointment.

Quick question "RockTheSVT"
Does the SVT have the same crash cell thats in my Mazda? I dont know too much about the SVT, but I really like what I have seen on the road. They tidy up REAL nice. I know Volvo designed the crash cell for the 3 and euro focus, which they also use in the s40. It makes for nice handling. All in all s40, Mazda 3 and SVT focus are awesome cars, this Saleen is a swing and a miss. Perhaps the handling is good, its too bad you cant go fast enough to find out for real. Whats going on over at Saleen...

Then Saleen is lying through its teeth, and just swindling idiots out of their money. But then, P.T. Barnum once said, "Never let a sucker keep his money." So if they can actually sell that Pile(and make an actual profit), They've earned it.

I dont think so, but I could be wrong. I'm not really sure.
I think it woulda been a sick ride if it had FI, and rear disc brakes. Rousch, however has a stage 3 focus, with a turbo. It's badass. 230hp. I read about it in R&T a while back ago, but have yet to hear about it again. Supposedly they were actually producing them..Hmmmm

but nothing can beat a cobalt ss/sc i got 18 g's for my 05 honda si chevy couldn't beat that price.
