Looking at getting an '07 SS/SC

Hey guys, I am looking at purchasing an 07 SS/SC. I will be going to test drive it soon. It only has about 8500 miles on it.

I did have a few questions I hope you all can help with. I have read some of the common problem areas with this car, and I was hoping you guys can help point me in the direction of things to look for on the test drive.

Wheel hop/tranny issues:
I know the wheel hop causes the transmission to crack across one of the bolt holes. Is this damage visible from anywhere under the car or hood? Anything I can do on the test drive to "look" for this problem?

Steering "popping" issues:
I have read that you can find this by slowly driving in circles with the wheel at full-turn. Is this correct? When I do this I will hear a "popping" sound correct? Is this a dead give away to stay away from the car or something that can be fixed with warranty work?

Clutch slipping:
It seems pretty easy to test the slipping clutch on these cars...a hard 1-2 shift. I know what the slipping clutch will feel like since my current car (06 G6 coupe GTP) had the same problem and had to have a new clutch installed. I have also read that this slipping can be corrected by shifting around 3k RPM to stop glazing. Is this effective?

Are there any other problems with the car I need to check out that I haven't found in my searching?

Thank you all in advance for your help!

Thanks for the link! I don't know how I missed that one.

Anyone have comments about the things listed in my first post? Specifically, what to look for on the tranny and steering system?
