Lost power

Need suggestions. I was on my way to work today on the freeway and my car started to sputter and lose power. I had to pull over and it died before I completely stopped. I then tried to restart it and it wouldn't hold idle. It kept sputtering several times then shut off again. The roads were a little wet outside but I don't know if that could affect anything or not. Also a couple months back I had driven through a large puddle of water and my car did the same thing, sputtered a lot as I finished driving another block to work and it eventually killed. Any ideas on what is wrong?

Do you have the stage kit? Wires could not be capped (soldered) properly and water is causing it to sputter n such.

I tried to find any helpful information to pass along, but didn't see anything right away. What year is your Cobalt?
