take it off. Lanching at 2-2.5k. Slip the clutch roll the throttle feel the grip and go. Tips for 1st and 2nd lol I beat lots of rwd cars at the drags out the hole. 2.1 60ft on Dunlop 102's nothing epic, this was befor the powell mount and ottp cabs. Going for 2.0 this year!! Lolz
I have Powell cabs and his tranny mounts and it's much better.
2.0 60 on a fwd car is good. Older hot rods made for s/s action can cut 1.5-1.6, think how low your 1/4 would be if we could do that in a cobalt.
I test drove a speed 3 before buying my ss and talk about torque steer. I nailed it in 2nd gear and changed a whole lane on a 4 wide street, and I was holding on tight. Mine is way better than that.

It will skip all the way through second without traction control though

was trying to get most traction for the best time.

with traction control on they better be ha. Take it off and do a run with out it. Probably the first tuned tc pull I've seen with traction control on. And even so ur 3rd gear didnt wined out very fast so u should get tuned. Your tires are not very grippy I bet with TC off.
Using your traction control during hard pulls on a shitty tune all the time will mess your car up faster then a good tune and letting tires spin. I'm not busting your ***** just trying to be helpful.
having traction control on wont hurt anything, especially on gms1, sometimes i forget to turn off my traction control and just power through it, haha, it gives up eventually.
Gms1 isn't a shitty tune. I'm done. I'm out of this thread and I started the damn thing. You're just ridiculous. I can't take it. It comes straight from GM there's no way they'd make the tune shitty. And I'd rather grip n go than spin n slide.
See ya.
See ya.
First, they call it "shitty" not because it messes up your car, but because it's relatively mild compared to what CAN be done. Some people want to push their car to the limit. For them, GMS1 is a crappy tune to do it with. For others, it's perfectly fine. Take people's descriptions of it with a grain of salt.
Second, "It comes straight from GM there's no way they'd make the tune shitty." is the statement that really shows your ignorance. Trust me, GM engineers are perfectly capable of putting crap into your car and will laugh their way to the bank doing it. Never take what GM, or any car maker, or anyone else, says as gospel. Do your own research about the things you own.
I know you said you're done with the thread, but I had to get this in there anyways. Enjoy your new car (payments).
thanks! Yeah the power difference is immense. To me it's unreal (I've always owned something slow) how fast it gets going in a short amount of time. Also the launch control feature is badass. If anyone has any tips about this, what's the fastest way to start off from a dig?
The ignorance is strong with this one. It must be nice.

When I say traction control messes up your car. If TC is on your car is holding it's self back trying to help get grip so your kinda beating on the brakes/suspension a little more. I might be wrong but it just makes sense in my mind. Also the biggest thing your making your car slower like wtf😡 I rather see u learn and get better over time then see you btch out and use TC, just saying cobalt homie. Ha.
Ikr trying to help homie win and he's like 😠 w/e tho I was trying to be funny at some points mabe he didn't get it. That 🍁tree makes me kinda sarcastic lol I just usally try to be helpful😎
Kid just got his car give him a break. He is brand new to the car world much less a forced induction 280/320 car. Let him get comfortable and in time he will naturally explore TC off & competition mode driving. In time he will research and probably want a custom tune like the rest of us.
I had GMS1 from 12k-125k, was great for getting the feel out of the car. I'd even go as far to say that a GMS1 car can take on a tuned one. It's not a HUGE difference, a good driver vs novice driver can close that gap easy. And GMS1 can still NLS the 1-2,2-3,3-4.while it's risky as **** with an aftermarket tune to NLS. And if you don't have the tire and don't use the pedal right a tuned balt will spin like mad and lose ground. There are people with aftermarket tuned balts running 14's still, while it's possible for a GMS1 car to hit high 12's.

People would be surprised how little power it actually takes to get into the high 12's with these cars....
but the kiddies always think more powers means more faster.
