May be selling the balt...

Well..some of you know, i got in a wreck today, fucked up the front end of my car.
It's really just great cause i was saving for another car and now i have to pay to repair my car, and insurance increases.
I'm 16 years old and the parents just left me out in the cold bascially. Won't tell me where to get an estimate, won't tell me how i'm supposed to pay for it, making me pay insurance now.
So. I'll probably be fixing the balt and selling it.
I don't really give a **** about it...insurance was 230/Mo for full coverage and it's expected to go to 300/MO.
A '04 SRT-4 is not only faster, and with better ******* brakes, it's only 200/Mo with a clean record. SO i'll probably be selling the 2.2 to get a 2.4 turbo.
it'll be used, but i don't care, i can't pay 300/MO on insurance on a car that i don't even like that's not even fast.
Our brakes are horrible, MY car doesn't have antilock brakes, i know from the 87 foot skid when i was only going 45 and THEN crashed into someone.
SO, please hate on srt-4's and tell me what a bad driver I am lol.

hate to break it to you but a SRT-4 is the most expensive car to insure according to the latest study GL on that one. + being 16 wont help either.

wait, so you think you're going to pay less on an srt-4? what do you do that you're 16 and can afford a car in the first place? and guys don't take this the wrong way, but no 16 year old should have a fast car like an srt-4. they just don't have the experience to be driving something that fast.

and the parents "leaving you out in the cold" is the best thing they can do. it will teach you some responsibility. i'm guessing your parents gave you the car?

I drove a 2000 SALVAGE TITLE Cavalier with a 2.2L OHV 100hp on a good day power nothing piece of junk. I am now 20 and would have loved to have my cobalt at 16...

Some kids are rather inconsiderate of what they have. I would much rather drive my slow cobalt, then have the cars half my friends drive. Rusted out Buick Skylarks, Geo Storms, etc. etc.

also, don't blame the brakes for your shitty driving skills. Running into someone is 100% the drivers fault. end of story.

16 year old/230-240 hp to the wheels, and FWD is probably a death sentence for you.

When I was 16 I drove a....oh wait...I didn't have a car! WOW have times changed...I had to save all my money and by the time I was 18 I was able to pay cash for my first car...a POS buick lesabre.
And YOU think you have it bad with a NEW car??? Your 16, I'm 25...my Cobalt is MY first brand new car, and bet your ass I love it and take care of it like no other, because unlike you...I work HARD for what I have...you obviously don't. You need to learn to appreciate what you have and not always want bigger and better.
And in my opinion, no 16 year old should have a boosted car. Its a death sentence. You won't understand until it actually happens.

First of all...how can all of you judge this person? sure he made a mistake? but arnt we all human, yes i understand where everyone is coming from, he made a mistake and wants a new car b/c of that? doesnt make sense to me but im not gonna judge him for that, we are a community and should act more like it, insted of judging him why not just say "listen buying a srt-4 will increase ur insurence and just get you a death sentence"

2nd, im 17 years old, i work 55 hours a week at 9.50 a hour and go to school from 9:40-3:30. on average i bring home 400 dollars a paycheck and pay for my car (330) insurence(160) and cell phone (50) after taxes im left at about 150 dollars a month to provide food and gas, so the comments made about how "mommy gave him his car" could infact be a false statement. the only thing my dad helped me was co-signing the lease and for such a person with huge credit rating..was not hard for him to do.

SO BEFORE YOU JUDGE LEARN MORE OF THE STORY!

/end rant

You go to school all day, but still manage 55 hours a week. Yet your paychecks are only $400???
Something doesn't add up here...

i live in canada..free health care and other benefits=more tax on my paycheck

i agree with ur statement about no 16 year old should own a boosted car, i myself really really wanted to get a ss/sc...one of the reasons i didnt was b/c i didnt feel secure enough in my driving ability to own such a fast car that would provoke me to street race more so then my car does already, ofcourse ive grown to be good at driving but at the start..it would just be a death sentence.

Funny i didn't say please act like dick faces that think they're funny.
I do want a new car, i have gotten ******* estimates so don't say i read it off a cereal box? wtf?
It's 230.05 for my 07 cobalt, and 203.20 for a 04 srt-4
Yes i've looked it up, you guys think you know what you're talking about, no it wasn't an sxt or some crap.
Braking is shitty on my car i mean if you skid 90 feet that's a problem it should have ABS.
also, i'm surprised you guys would flame after a 16 year old got in a wreck, you're ******* immature ******** or old ***** whos dicks don't work.
Which would you rather have? Me now, wanting a new car that brakes better and asking you about it?
OR me ******* dead? Torn to pieces? Blown up? Paralyzed?
Have a video saying never do this?
Yet you guys poke fun when i could have died, you're all ******* immature idiots.
You should have been giving advice on which car to get for safety or better braking, not saying wow you fucked up, wow you shouldn't get that.
That's immature, and stupid, but then again i wouldn't expect an online forum to give a **** about someone dying

To the TS......you should make a trip over to the SRT forums and check out the kids who have died, and then take a look at all the totalled out cars where the people are just lucky to be alive. You don't have the knowledge to know what it is you don't know.

And also, the people on here are all trying to give you advice on keeping you alive, and you don't keep someone alive by handing a kid a revolver and letting him play with it. You already admit to racing, so do you honestly think putting an SRT-4 in your hands is going to help you fight that urge?????
