A miserable 24 hrs...
My day started with my check engine light coming on as I was leaving my house for an 8 hour drive to Atlanta, GA. The engine was running very rough, boggin down and almost stalling from a stop every time with the rpms very erratic. I limped into the dealers (with it stalling as I entered the service entrance) and then waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to help me. I also asked them to look at the transmission (again, 2nd time, I have to double clutch to get into 2nd sometimes
) since I'm still having issues with 2nd gear. After a 3 hour wait, they handed me the keys to my car and said they couldn't find anything wrong and couldn't read the CEL, they said it must of cleared itself. After I explained to them that I needed to drive 500 miles after I left there and couldn't have the car start acting up again they told me that they updated the PCM so I hopefully shouldn't have any more problems.
I made the drive alright, without any more problems (besides the occassional 2nd gear issues) and stayed at a friends house later that night. The next morning, my friend woke me up to let me know that his wife hit my car in their driveway. She never even looked in her mirror.
My poor car
After 2 months of owning this brand new car, I'm finding that it has many more mechanical problems and is now more beat-up looking than my 105,000 mile GTP was.

That does suck. Good thing you nabbed some pictures before it was damaged!
It's ok.. you'll get it fixed up and things will start looking up. Go through her insurance company and have the satisfaction that her insurance will go up for causing you this trouble! I garuntee she will look in the mirror everytime from that day forward!

Apparently State Farm is the insurance to have. My friend was telling me she rear-ended a guy at a stop light when it turned green (she hit the gas, he didn't), plus she has gotten "many" speeding tickets and their insurance has never gone up. I get one ticket and my insurance doubles (Nationwide).
Unfortunately, a few of those scratches are all the way into the fiber glass and the fender is slightly creased, so it'll take much more than buffing. Oh well, there were a couple of chips in the front already anyways, at least they'll get fixed too.
