for anyone having the brake problems, check out the acdelco durastop rotors at your dealer. i had my stock front rotors warp pretty badly twice in 40k miles. put on the durastops, and haven't had even a little bit of vibration from them in the 24k they've been on the car. think crateenginedepot was about half the dealer list price, too.

2.4L

1st day of having of the car had to take it back to get them to reposition the exhaust heat shield as it was rubbing.

had some minor trim issues mainly wind noises had my door wind seals replaced was fixed for a week now its back but i'll wait until i get the wind noise at 20km/h and then i'll take it back.
headlight seal's weren't done properly getting water into them fixed that by painting the headlights.
massive noise on the deceleration in every gear related to the clutch my work says it's normal and won't do anything. so im driving it until it breaks then they can fix it.

oh and my driver side window rattles even when the window is closed probably needs another regulator again.

other then that i love the car these have all been fairly minor nothing major has happened.

I've got a 2.2, and the only reason I have small problems is because of my own fault. Exhaust leak after installing a new header and downpipe. Broken studs from aftermarket rims. Like I said, very minor problems that I don't consider factory's fault.

2.0L 1) Faulty cam position sensor (warranty replacement @10,000 KM).

2) Brake booster sticks since new but they won't admit that it does.....so my rotors are disappearing like everybody elses.

3) Paint peeling on my seat warmer switch.

Thats it.

The only problems i had with the 2.0 has been the wheels chipping along with the door trim peeling.

My 2.2 my only problem so far has been shifting into first. Sometimes it wont go in gear without going into another gear then putting in back into 1st

interior trip paint comming off
needed to fill coolant withing 4 months because of low collant light
strange idle sometimes(I already have the reflash)

I am sure there are others that I can't think of right now. I would love this car if it didn't have any problems, but that is not the case
The 2.0 has no problems because satchmo's car took'em all. Like the Jesus of Cobalts lol

Purchased my 07 SS/SC in May of 07. At 4100miles cracked cylinder head (very tiny, but it was still seeping out oil). After new cylinder head was installed, my cam cover gasket leaked like it was its job. Went through 2 cam cover gaskets before the problem was fixed. Intermediate steering shaft clunking at 12000miles. Cam position sensor all frigged up at 13000miles. I still love my car, but im starting to get sick of it falling apart !!!!
