motor diff????

motor diff????

ok so my 07 motor in my cobalt ss 2.4 is done i found a 2006 cobalt ss 2.4 motor i want to know is there any diff in computers,wires or anything... exper people only plz i dont want peolpe to tell me ooo its a le5 im sure there the same if you dont know do say thank..also...does matter if it had auto or manual trans??s

the base motor is the same. the harnesses are different. if you are going to use the 06 motor, keep your 07 around in the shop till your done. you will most likey need to swap over soem sensors, but otherwise they are identical. also if it is a diff trans then you, you may have to swap the motor mount, and you would have to swap the flexplate/flywheel.

whats diff about the harness's??

in 07 they changed to different style connectors. radios and what not dont swap out. there may be no difference in the sensors on the engine or the harness under the hood, but if there is you should have everything on your 07 motor that can swap over.

well im just unplugging **** of the 07 motor and plugging back it back up on the 06 im not changing the whole harness in car

well i looked up and i got this i think its saying its the same untill 2008

2008 they had larger changes. You will be fine with a direct swap.

so why ask questions if you really dont give a ****? no one said you would have to change the harness. i said you may need to swap some sensors.
