Mounting electronic cut out help

I looked under my car today to find a place to mount my electronic cut out. Well there is no where on the downpipe to mount it, the middle would just be too low to the ground. Would it make much of a difference if I mounted it further towards the back after the resonator? Or is it best mounted closer to the manifold?
