Hmm.. That sounds nice.. Clevland is just too far though. If only there was another way. I couldn't have a dealer around here have the car shipped or traded with them or something like that, could I?

By the way, how can I see what dealers will have/or already have G85 SS's? Do you need to be a dealer to do that? The car search on the chevy site doesn't allow you to search for G85 or if it does, not in a wide enough range. I haven't been able to locate any.

Does anyone know if there are any other ones in the northeastern U.S.?

I just received an e-mail from the Cobalt production team regarding the G85 Package. Here is what I received:

Any orders that have actually been preferenced with G85 are targeted to be built in the 2005 MY. If the order has not been preferenced or "picked-up" by the ordering system, then it needs to be converted to a 2006 MY order by the dealer. We had such high demand for the G85 package that we had to stop taking in orders for production.

Also...

There are some great accessories you can purchase at the dealer or aftermarket, but if you get some accessories at the time of the sale, they can resudualize the cost so you get the benefit of the accessories without fully paying for them, and this is usually accomplished through the Smartbuy.


Also... Be sure to check with your insurance company for rates on the SS, as i had some younger customers who discovered their monthly insurance payments exceeded what they would pay for the Cobalt SS!

With all the options... Just had to haggle a little, but considering it now looks like I wont get the car that doesnt matter

 

What do you mean won't get the car. I have the exact same order as you, and I have been waiting and waiting and waiting. I called Chevy today and my car is scheduled for June 6th for build. Have you heard something different?
