my summer car projects

Hey, just thought I would thank the people that have helped me start my cobalt SC project by selling me some awesome parts, new and used....and if you have not sent the parts yet, get on the ball, huh... (j/k) Other members here, let me know what you think, good or bad, and any hints for install are appreciated as well....if I do one project a week this will take all summer!!

Stuff to make my car look purty...

1) used Halo projector headlights......need paint and repair.....from Death Dealer
2) used victory red SS style fiberglass hood....from Red Line Cobalt
3) used hood blanket for SS hood.....Hinow41
4) used lower SS 2.4 grill from .......from Slowbalt 06
5) 2 cheepo audio amplifiers from Wal-mart...(but they were cheap)
6) silver metallic twin racing stripes.....from NAPA
7) Red caliper paint, and silver high temp spray paint for rotors....NAPA
8) Red "Cobalt SS" windshield decal.......Ebay
9) red interior cold cathode Led's and neons....Ebay....(hey, I like em, OK?? ..and I missed the last 10 years of car modding so....)
10) Gunmetal and polished 18" Motegi rims.....Ebay
11) used Fujita F5 intake....more shiny than performance....from another Cobalt forum....

Performance stuff I hope

1) Vibrant header/downpipe ....from Turbo Tech Racing
2) used Ingalls TD...from Werewolf SS
3) Prothane Tranny inserts....from TTR
4) used TTR motor mount.......from KhashSS
5) used Pirelli snow tires......Ebay....(best mod in my opinion)
6) Escort radar detector....Ebay
7) Escort/Passport GT2 meter......NGA Sales
8) 42 lb injectors with harness....from RedlineBrian.......(future Staged mod buying in stages...)

Well, any thoughts?? (duck and cover)

I plan on buying a dual set of Interceptor gauges, and with the GT2 meter, hope to get some kind of performance readings before I really mod anything.....I know these devices are not accurate for HP readings and 1/4 mile runs....but should show improvement anyways....a way to benchmark sort of....I plan on being in the garage a little this summer...

I have not spent that much really....almost all used parts....the new Vibrant header was just under $600 with free shipping....used tires were $400 shipped, new rims on ebay were $400, about half price of retail...I sure hope those rims fit ok. Too much snow and ice to try the rims out....I even got the snow tires mounted on the stock SS/SC rims, and the stock tires mounted on the new rims, for about $100. The shop did scratch the heck out of my basically new stock rims though. Beastards!!...well, I guess they are winter rims now, so....
