We all mistakes, its all about how you handle it and move on......

And Bro think positive, sign from God to wait a lil longer and get a 09 with better options and such, and not own a 08 when 08's almost over

I don't know about Canada but in the US if you take like defensive driving you get like 1 or 2 points off your license (feel free to correct me if any of that info is wrong).

Well I sent in my plea... I put non guilty to be able to get a court date.

I cannot possibly prove that I wasnt going over the speed limit, plus there were 2 cops in the car, so 1 of them was a witness against me.

Instead I will plea guilty infront of the judge, and beg for mercy, demonstrate how regretful I am for what I did, That I Have learn a big lesson, that the cops scared me big time so I am scared of speeding now and also that this not only cost me big time in money, but also it shattered big efforts from me to get the car I always wanted... and that I have been working 2 jobs for many months to get it.
I will also ask to change the penalty from getting points removed to community service or some kind of defensive driving class.

Hopefully the judge feels compassionate on that day

Possibly because we feel the system is flawed, that tickets should have absolutly no bearing on insurance, and the inability to get it. I mean him speeding should block him very ever being able to get insurance?? And if you've noticed alot of people are not trying to get him cleared of the fines or tickets, but working around ways that he can still be insured, and hopefully at a reasonable rate. He has also stated that he's ready to pay for the fines, and knows he did wrong.

Im in the middle of currently fights 2 tickets, 1 for Running a Yellow LIght (turned yellow as i was going over white line, was through insterection before red) and the second for not properly wearing seatbelt (had put the belt under my armpit to reach to glove box to get all the info before he had gotten to my window). Now with those 2 it's 5 points plus 2 infractions, so the insurance is gonna have a hayday if they catch wind of it, so i've decided to fight them both in court (paralegal team). So now im stuck with paying for a legal team, and most likely fines, just to save my insurance.

May want to get ahold of a paralegal team, at least go for a free consultation... see what it would cost.. they'd be alot better at fighting it then you would. Also they could get ahold of the cops notes, see if there are any wholes, or possibly get it down to a lesser charge (not sure of traffic act codes) but one with no points. I wouldn't go in there directly saying your guilty though.. or the judge may just stick with the ticket.

helld, just so you know...all of these guys on here with these souped-up cars that are lecturing you about being a dumb kid have never made a mistake in their entire lives. They certainly didn't add all these speed mods and **** to break the law. I can assure you that every one of them stays under the speed limit, has never laid a patch of rubber or violated any kind of sound ordinace. Their word is law and the glass houses they live in will eternally remain intact for lack of stone throwing. Also remember that it's much more difficult to come-up with a smarmy, half-assed, meaningless retort than it is to write a thoughtful response to someone who poses an honest question.

I'm confused. Why would insurance not be affected by tickets?

When you purchase insurance, the insurance company is gambling their money that you won't get into a wreck. If you don't, they win. If you do, they lose.

If I'm about to bet $10,000 on a horse to win a race, and he breaks his leg the week before it, I'm going to pull my bet.

This kid just became that horse with a broken leg. If it was your company, and your money on the line, would you honestly want to insure him?
