Never had rattles in either of mine. If you can find one with recaros, your comfort issues is solved. G85 =Limited slip differential and Recaro seats.

I just got the ss/sc cobalt two weeks ago...was debating whether or not to get a Honda because thats all I've ever owned...but damn dude...this car takes the cake! as soon as i test drove one...i had to have it! Also, the cobalts have "quiet steel" so the noise inside is relatively quiet. as far as squeaks...i haven't heard anything yet...the trunk rattles a little with two 12's pumpin I think you have to get a cobalt fully loaded tho...i drove the 2.4 ss and it wasn't that great...no racing seats...suspension was less nimble...engine didn't have the get-up-and-go...like the old saying "go all the way or go home!" i don't think you'll be disappointed!

My seat is not holding up well.(18k)
Cd player gets discs stuck in it. Wont read them or eject. Have to disconnect battery to get them to read the disc. Happened a couple times.
Paint chipping around the window buttons and cover around buttons has fit issues.
Ac fan is a little loud.
I dont like first gear.
Ive had no major problems(2005) though and Ive been happy with the car.
I bought the car used and I thought it was a good value for the performance and overall style of the car.

if you can...have them locate an 07 with the G85 for you...not too many around...i got mine from a dealer like 300 miles away...but it had EVERYTHING...lsd, cd/mp3, onstar, xm, sunroof, two tone leather...but since they had to drive it 300 miles back to my dealer i put up a stink...they ended up giving me another $500 in Chevy Incentives...at the end of signing I had more money in rebates than the Stage 1+2, Manifold and exhaust cost....sweet

im going to go test drive sometime next week to get a feel for the car. I already know no dealerships around town have the g85 package yet alone a color i would even consider but if they can somehow find me a black ss/sc with the g85 i will pass up the srt4

like i said...make the dealer work! Have them look around and you'll get what you want...I went into there with all the info from CobaltSS.net and my own research (I knew more about the car than the salesman did) and was like...this is the deal...i want X, Y, Z...and I want it NOW!
As far as the srt4...its a preeeetty damn fast car...however, i haven't driven one...just known a kid who had one...gotten a ride once...as far as fit and finish it was equal as far as I'm concerned.

i actualy just got my 05 ss/sc last week. its got a slight clunk in the rear suspention, but im going to venture a guess at the lowering springs. this car has a few things done to it. what i was most impressed with was the power and handling, its amazing. even driving a stock ss/sc it was great, a few bolt ons makes it that much better. also for the price of the car, you do get a lot of options.

ive driven an srt4, aside from being fast, i didnt like it. drove ok, just nothing jumped out at me. as my dad says (worked for 25 years at chrysler, now runs an independant shop), how long does it take before the neon in it really comes out.

x2 Yeah I’m having that same problem, that’s why I’m looking in to the motor and tranny mounts.

I agree 100% and its not about knowing how to drive, its about the front wheel drive.
