Need Help! Part #, and wiper bracket alignment!!!

Ok so awhile ago I cracked my windshield fixing my wipers cuz the bracket that connects to the motor came off (nut came loose) and I didnt have the right tool to get the wiper arms off to get the plastic cover off and the motor out. I fixied the wipers and got a new windshield and then today it happened again, that damn nut wont stay on there.

Long story short i was afraid to crack my windshield again so i cut a small slit through the plastic cover that covers the wiper motor so i didnt have to pry the wipers off. Im looking to see if anyone knows the exact name of the part so i can order it on gmpartsdirect.

And now thats it is half ass fixed my wipers now stop in the middle of the window, i put that bracket in like 50 different places and i never got it quite right. (If you know how wiper arms work you'll know what im talking about) So, anyways I am also looking for someone to go outside and feel their wiper bracket (it is a 2in long by 3/4inch wide rectangular aluminum piece which connects the wiper motor to the wiper arms assembly) and tell the exact orientation of it when the wipers are off so I can redo it and get it right.

when you loosen that thing or put it back on the spot you tighten it at determines how your wipers move and which direction first and etc. when you put it back on so I need to know where it goes.

any help is greatly appreciated.

help! i can't figure out that it is called in the gmpartsdirect catalog!

Are you talking about the wiper linkage. If you are the part number is 22695004.

no, the part i need to buy is the plastic cover that covers the motor and goes along the length of the hood.

the linkage is the part that i need to fix so that the wipers go up and down right becuase right now they stop in the middle of the window.

thanks anyways though

anyone>?!??!
